In our earliest days, Quantech operated as an IT Staffing Company. We provided consultants to supplement in-house staff at Fortune 500 clients. Our teams served in project implementation and operational support roles. In 2001 a Quantech consulting practice was born. The purpose was to service Small and Mid-Size Businesses (SMB’s) with the knowledge and best practices harvested from experiences working with IT Departments at some of the world’s largest companies.

In 2006 we created a managed service practice. The intent was to introduce greater efficiency and scalability in supporting SMBs. Software developments in the technology ecosystem gave rise to powerful remote control tools. Use of these tools sped up time to respond to an end user. Similar tools allowed for broader forms of systems management including software patching, asset reporting, and monitoring. 

In 2008 we created a business continuity practice. This was in recognition of the technology shift to disk-based backup and the cloud. Disk based backup systems proved faster, accurate, and highly reliable. Leveraging the ability to replicate data to an alternate location in the cloud offered a true disaster recovery solution lacking among many SMB’s. Today, Quantech integrates of backup, restore, virtualization, and disaster recovery solutions for both on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

In 2009 Quantech was a early adopter of the Microsoft Cloud. In those days it was call the Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS). Through the preceding decade, Quantech supported client’s on-premises file servers and email servers built using Microsoft operating systems and applications. BPOS, now known as Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, was the earliest iteration of the same on-premise services, as a cloud subscription.

Today, Quantech is a Microsoft Certified Cloud Solution Provider. Our cloud architects and cloud experts assist clients to build, manage, and support software-as-a-service (SaaS), infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and Copilot Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions leveraging Microsoft cloud technologies.

In 2014, we recognized that the cloud revolution applied to a broader category of operations, to include voice technologies and telephone services. Modernizing legacy analog phone systems, replacing them with a cloud-based Voice over IP (VoIP) systems means SMB’s benefit from versatility of an IP based phone systems. Quantech created qcVoice and spun off these services to become an FCC registered Interconnected VoIP Service provider offering uniquely branded, cloud based, business telephone services nationwide. By 2018, ransomware and cyber security threats began to dominate the headlines. Most large-scale IT security breaches resulted in massive data dumps to the Dark Web. These dumps often contain personally identifiable information: user ID’s, passwords, credit card numbers, social security numbers, and other sensitive data. If an employee’s information is on the Dark Web, it can be used to compromise your business. Leaking sensitive information, exploitation of zero-day vulnerabilities, and trading malicious code designed to damage your operations or steal your information has created a new category of risks. To help defend against it and the multitude of cybersecurity threats that pose risks to SMB;s today, we created a Cybersecurity practice. In the years since, as cyberthreats have evolved, we have continued to add cybersecurity solutions including EDR, Security Awareness Training, Annual Regulatory Assessment, and more to our toolset, to help protect SMB’s
